as we held hands
one minute of silence
to mark our last respects
and say a prayer of our own to beloved mdm maria
tears rolled down our cheeks

we felt e loss of a great lecturer
a lecturer who was tactful in everything she does
a lecturer who gave her students a sense of well-being
a lecturer who have shared every knowledge she has gained
but she
whom could have stayed on longer
to continue her contributions
to mould her students
have left us in a split second
without any goodbyes or last words

but we are sure enuff
mdm maria will b in good hands
she'll be around
somewhere out there
looking at us from above
and be proud of us like we're proud of her

and i'm sure
she'll 'attend' our graduation
'congratulating' her students
be happy for us like we're happy for her
